On the home page of your platform, hover over the carousel where you want to add the course, click on the '+' icon, and select 'Create course'.
Since your platform comes with a pre-built template, you might consider editing an existing course instead of creating a new one. To do so, hover over the course you'd like to edit, click the three dots, and select 'Edit course''.
If your platform currently doesn't have any existing carousels and courses, navigate to the home page and click on 'Create course'.
Provide a title for your course.
Upload an image with dimensions of 1900 x 947px.
Set the course permissions.
Click "Save" to finalize course creation.
🔒 Course Permissions:
Public: Displays the course and grants access to all users on your platform.
Private: Displays the course to all users on the platform but only grants access to users who purchased the course or were manually granted access by an admin.
Hidden: Displays the course only to admins and grants access only to them.
When a course is set to Private, an additional field called Locked Tag will appear. This is the text displayed next to the course lock icon for users without access. You can customize the message to say something like 'Available for Purchase' or 'Coming Soon'.
⬆️ Upsells:
When a course is set to Private, you can offer upsells to allow users to purchase the course. There are two types of upsells:
Popup: Displays a purchase popup when a user without access clicks the course. If they have a card on file, they can complete the purchase with a single click.
URL: Redirects users without access to an external URL (e.g., a checkout or landing page) to purchase the course.
When selecting a popup as an upsell, you'll see the following fields:
1 - Access-Granting Digital Offer: Select the digital offer that provides access to this course.
Note: If you're pre-selling the course and don't want to grant access immediately, you can select a digital offer that doesn't include course permissions. When the course launches, update the course permissions of this Digital Offer to grant access to those who purchased the upsell.
2 - Upsell Call-to-Action: Specify the button text that will appear when a user without access hovers over the course.
3 - Upsell Description (Optional): Add a brief description of what’s being sold in this upsell offer.
When selecting a URL as an upsell, you'll see the following fields:
1 - Purchase URL: Enter the URL where users can purchase the course (e.g., a landing page or checkout page).
2 - Upsell Call-to-Action: Specify the button text that will appear when a user without access hovers over the course.
Courses are displayed inside of carousels. To create a carousel:
Hover over an existing carousel, click on the '+' icon, and select 'Create carousel'.
If your platform currently contains courses but doesn't have any existing carousels, navigate to the home page and click on 'Create carousel'.
Assign a title to the carousel.
Optionally, add a description.
Courses in Carousel: Select the courses you want to display in this carousel.
Planning to launch just one course?
Even if you have a single offering, consider showcasing upcoming courses in a locked state. This strategy not only allows you to generate anticipation for future products but also encourages users to join a waitlist. Additionally, it enhances your home page aesthetics by featuring multiple images, creating a visually appealing layout.
See example below:
Only Display for Admins: Restrict visibility to administrators.
Display Carousel Vertically on Mobile: Display courses in the carousel stacked on top of each other when viewed on a mobile device.
Click "Save" to display your carousel.
Student View Mode
To preview your platform's home page as a student, click the 'Switch to Student View' button in the sidebar.
